At Ponvandu Dishwash, we understand the importance of maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen. One of the most frequently used tools in the kitchen is the dishwashing sponge, but it can also be one of the most unsanitary.

In this article, we will discuss how to keep your dishwashing sponge clean and hygienic to ensure a healthy and safe kitchen environment.

Why Is It Important to Keep Your Dishwashing Sponge Clean?

The dishwashing sponge is an essential tool for cleaning dishes, but it can also harbor harmful bacteria and germs. If left uncleaned, it can become a breeding ground for harmful pathogens such as E.coli and Salmonella, which can cause serious health problems.

Additionally, a dirty sponge can leave residue on dishes, making them unclean and unsafe for consumption.

How Often Should You Replace Your Dishwashing Sponge?

It is recommended that you replace your dishwashing sponge every 2-4 weeks, depending on how frequently it is used. A sponge that is used daily should be replaced more frequently than one that is only used a few times a week.

It’s also essential to replace the sponge if it begins to smell or shows signs of wear and tear.

How to Clean Your Dishwashing Sponge

There are several ways to clean your dishwashing sponge to ensure that it remains clean and hygienic.

Here are some tips:

  1. Microwave Method: Wet the sponge and place it in the microwave for 1-2 minutes on high. This will kill most bacteria and germs.
  2. Dishwasher Method: Place the sponge in the dishwasher during a hot cycle with a small amount of Ponvandu liquid detergent.
  3. Bleach Method: Mix 3/4 cup of bleach with one gallon of water and soak the sponge in the solution for 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water.
  4. Vinegar Method: Soak the sponge in a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar for 5-10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water.
  5. Boiling Method: Boil the sponge in a pot of water for 5-10 minutes. This will kill most bacteria and germs.

After cleaning your sponge, be sure to wring it out thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before using it again. This will help prevent the growth of bacteria and germs.

Additional Tips for Maintaining a Hygienic Kitchen

In addition to keeping your dishwashing sponge clean, there are other steps you can take to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment. Here are some tips:

  1. Wash your hands frequently, especially before preparing food or eating.
  2. Use separate cutting boards for raw meat, poultry, and seafood to prevent cross-contamination.
  3. Store food properly, either in the refrigerator or freezer.

Leggings are versatile and comfortable, and they’re a staple in many wardrobes. They’re great for working out, running errands, or just lounging around the house. But, because they’re often made of delicate materials, washing them can be a bit tricky.

In this article, we’ll discuss the best ways to wash and care for your leggings, so you can keep them looking great for longer.

Choosing the Right Way to Wash Leggings

Before you start washing your leggings, you need to check the care instructions on the label. This will give you guidance on the best way to wash them. Some leggings may be hand-wash only, while others may be machine-washable on a gentle cycle.

Be sure to follow the instructions carefully, as washing your leggings incorrectly can damage the fabric and cause them to wear out faster.

How to Wash Leggings in the Washing Machine

If your leggings are machine washable, you can follow these general washing instructions:

  1. Put your leggings in a mesh or washing bag. This will prevent them from getting tangled or stretched out during the wash.
  2. Use a gentle liquid detergent like “Ponvandu Matic Liquid”. Avoid using bleach or fabric softener, as these can damage the fabric and cause it to wear out faster.
  3. Set your machine to a delicate cycle. Using a gentle cycle will help protect the fabric from damage.
  4. Remove your leggings when the wash is complete. Don’t leave them in the washing machine for too long after the cycle is finished, as this can cause wrinkles or stretching.
  5. Avoid using a tumble dryer. The heat from a tumble dryer can damage the fabric and cause it to wear out faster. Instead, air dry your leggings by hanging them up or laying them flat on a towel.

How to Hand-Wash Leggings

If your leggings are not machine washable, you can hand wash them instead. Follow these steps:

  1. Fill a tub or sink with cool water.
  2. Add a small amount of Ponvandu Matic Liquid Detergent.
  3. Gently swirl the leggings in the water. Avoid rubbing or twisting the fabric, as this can cause damage.
  4. Drain the soapy water and refill the tub with clean water.
  5. Swirl the leggings again in the clean water to rinse out the detergent.
  6. Drain the water and gently press the leggings to remove excess water. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric, as this can cause damage.
  7. Lay the leggings flat on a towel to air dry.

How to Store Leggings

Once you’ve washed your leggings, it’s important to store them properly to help them last longer. Here are some tips:

  1. Keep them away from direct sunlight. Sunlight can cause the fabric to fade and wear out faster.
  2. Store them separately. Don’t store your leggings with other items that could damage them, such as jewelry or belts.
  3. Roll them up. Rolling your leggings instead of folding them can help prevent creases and keep them in good shape.
  4. Use a drawer or box. Storing your leggings in a drawer or box can help keep them organized and prevent damage.

In conclusion, taking care of your leggings doesn’t have to be difficult. By following these simple tips, you can keep your leggings looking great for longer and get the most out of your investment.

Bleach is a straightforward, one-step solution to numerous washing issues. However, it might be bad for the environment and your health. After applying bleach, your clothes will also become sticky, smell bad, and have a yellow color.

Therefore, you should not use bleach on your clothes even though you want them to be whiter. How can you proceed?

There are many “natural alternatives” to bleach, but many people don’t use them because they don’t know what they are or don’t want to risk their clothes.

We will show you how to whiten clothes without bleach in this article, as well as some other helpful hints to keep your laundry smelling fresh and clean!

Why do white garments become yellowish?

Every wardrobe includes a crisp white shirt or a white T-shirt. On the other hand, have you noticed that they have degenerated into yellow over & over usage.? White clothes can get dirty for a lot of different reasons.

The following are a few examples:

  • The colors of other textiles may shift, especially if you wash everything at the same time.
  • The fabric retains detergent powder and fabric softener residue.
  • Environmental factors like smoking or pollution in the air
  • Oils and stains on the body are brought on by food and drink.

Clothes that can be whitened without bleach:

There are numerous home methods for whitening clothing without bleach. Allow us to show you a few extraordinary options when you are considering how to brighten garments without bleach. You will learn how to effectively whiten your clothes using a few common household ingredients after reading this article.

1. White Vinegar:

White vinegar is useful for removing dirt and stains. It is also gentle on fabrics and helps them naturally soften, so you don’t have to use chemical fabric softeners.

How to Use It

Before beginning the wash cycle, add 1/2 to 1 cup of distilled white vinegar to your Ponvandu Matic Liquid detergent.
Put a small amount of white vinegar into any stains on your clothing and let it sit for an hour before washing.

After a few minutes, wash your white clothes as usual.

2. Lemon:

Citric acid, which can bleach materials, is found in lemons. It also works to whiten linen, cotton, and polyester fibers.

How to Use It

Combine one 3.5 Litre of warm water with half a cup of the juice of four lemons. After that, add the white clothes to the lemon water and allow them to soak for at least an hour. To make garments more white, you can drench them for longer, even for the time being. After that, wash them as usual.

3. Baking Soda:

Baking soda can be easily available in the cabinet in your kitchen, but you should also put some in your laundry room. The clothes can be whitened with the help of baking soda and water.

How to Use It

In 3.5 Litre of warm water, combine one cup of baking soda. After that, add the white clothing and submerged for at least an hour, possibly all night. The sodium bicarbonate will help get rid of the dirt that makes cotton clothes look dull. After that, wash them as usual.

4. Borax Powder:

Natural mineral borax helps get rid of stains and cuts through dulling residue. Your regular laundry detergent will perform better and regain its color and cleanliness if you add a small amount of borax to it.

How to Use It

In 3.5 Litre of warm water, add half a cup of borax powder. The white clothing should be soaked for at least 30 minutes, if not longer, in this mixture. After that, wash the garments with Ponvandu Matic Liquid Detergent as usual.

5. Bluing:

Powdered and liquid versions of the traditional substance known as “bluing” are available in nearby grocery shops. Add a tiny amount of blue iron pigment, making the cloth appear white from an optical perspective.

Find the best bluing agent at your local grocery store and carefully follow the directions on the bottle.
Bluing can be used in either the rinse or wash cycles, but you should always dilute it and follow the directions carefully. It can be used again, even though it fades after a few washes.

6. Sunshine:

The sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays can make brightly colored clothing fade, but they also make white clothes shine. UV rays kill a variety of microorganisms, helping to disinfect materials as well as bleach cloth.

Avoid using the dryer cycle when the clothes are still damp from being washed. Then, to naturally whiten them, lay them out in the sun rather than exposing them to extreme heat.

Your clothing will become whiter and last longer if you line-dry it. Therefore, allow the sun and wind to restore your clothing’s color.

How can I whiten a shirt with black and white stripes without affecting the black stripes or fading them?

Utilize the daylight, vinegar, or baking soft drink systems. When you do this, the colors won’t change. Never make use of bleach or any other chemical.

Conclusion

Whites are the most challenging color to keep looking new. Even after a short time, they begin to appear dirty. Stains caused by sweat and oils develop quickly and are more challenging to remove.

However, using bleach to whiten clothing can be harmful to both you and the clothing. You must now be wondering how to whiten clothing without bleach.

In this article, we’ve listed 6 simple ways to whiten your clothes without bleach. Using any one of these methods, white clothes can be achieved without bleach. Also, don’t be afraid to experiment with different whitening methods to see if you can come up with new ways to keep your clothes white and clean.

Today we are going to discuss the Eight common laundry mistakes while washing clothes.

1. Sorting of clothes

Simply isolating the whites from colored garments isn’t sufficient. Not only should clothes be sorted by color, but also by size, weight, fabric, how dirty they are, and so on.

Because these factors determine the amount of soaking and detergent required. Towels, bed linen, and newly purchased clothing should all be washed separately.

It will shield your clothing from lint, odor, and color bleeding. To prevent odor, wash kitchen clothes separately.

2. Excessive Rubbing

Although it makes sense to scrub stains prior to washing, Exercise caution. Work your way inward from the outside when scrubbing. You could think it is smarter to go after the center first, however, the relaxing of the particles might make the stain spread.

The purpose of vigorous rubbing will be lost as the stain will become even more deeply ingrained. Before scrubbing, use a stain remover to loosen the particles and make them easier to remove.

3. Using Ordinary Detergent Powder

Ordinary Detergent Powder can get stuck and accumulate between the fibers, especially in woolen and other fabrics with loose weaves. The garment’s lifespan is reduced as a result. On the other hand, liquid detergents like Ponvandu Matic Liquid completely dissolve in water and won’t harm your clothes.

Additionally, it is allergy-safe and easy to rinse, making it safe for infant clothing. Stains can also be treated with Ponvandu Matic Liquid Detergent prior to washing. Because the pH factor is more equable, they are gentler than ordinary powder detergents.

4. Know which is First

Water, detergent, and clothes in the wrong order; Isn’t that what ought to be done? Not exactly. The sensors may become confused about the level of the water if clothes are put on after the water. The best method is to first place the clothes, then add water, letting the machine choose how much, and then Ponvandu Matic Liquid Detergent.

When you use a Ponvandu Matic liquid, it will completely dissolve without clumping or congealing.

5. Not reading the label

Every fabric and garment sold today comes with clear washing instructions on the label, so it’s important to read them carefully. Some clothes require more detergent while others require less scrubbing. Some prefer cold water, while others require warm water. Your clothes will last longer if you sort them and wash them in accordance with the label’s instructions.

6. Not zipping up

Before washing, it may appear prudent to zip up button-up shirts and pants. Although zipping up is a good idea, buttoning up a shirt can put pressure on the buttons and make them come off. To prevent the metal from causing damage to other clothing, any garment hooks should be fastened. You will have an easier time sorting matching pairs if you tie up pairs of socks.

7. Excessing

Anything excess is bad. It is a myth to use too much detergent, bleach, or heat in the hope that it will make your clothes clean better. In point of fact, it may harm your clothing. Excessive heat can not only cause the material to degrade and pose a fire hazard in the case of synthetic fabrics, which are frequently made from petroleum by-products. While too much bleach can harm your clothes, too little will not be effective.

8. Ignoring the lint

After each wash cycle, it is essential to empty the lint catcher and clean the mesh filter. If the lint escapes the filter, it might stain the clothes and stick to them. After some time, it will also emit an unpleasant odor, which is likely to remain on the washed clothes. Additionally, lint can clog the machine and pose a fire risk.

A little tenderness and care can go a long way. Ponvandu Matic Liquid is a liquid detergent with a pleasant fragrance scent that is gentle on your clothes. Because it has a low pH, it is gentle on clothing. It has a built-in fabric conditioner and gives washed clothes a light, pleasant scent all day*. In addition, it is entirely alright for child garments. When you buy a new towel, the first thing you look for is how quickly it can absorb water, how durable it is, and how fluffy and plush it is. According to Cotton Incorporated Supply Chain, “softness” is one of the main reasons people buy towels: 63% of people look for towels that are soft. However, after the first wash, all towels lose some of their plushness, no matter how expensive or high-quality they are.

Hard water and rubbing additionally separate the texture. The use and washing cycle wear away all of the plushness of the towels over time, making them difficult to use and uncomfortable. The towel’s absorbency level is also affected by this.

Since towels are purchased for their softness and absorbency, which diminish after the first wash and almost disappear after a few, this makes them appear less profitable.

What if we told you that the best way to wash towels lasts a lifetime and doesn’t cost a lot or take much time? We are aware that doing the laundry is a tedious task, but doing it correctly can make a world of difference.

We are going to show you a few tips today on how to wash towels and keep them soft after each wash. No really scouring firm hard towels over the skin that vibe more like a cleaner than a genuine towel.

How to Wash Towels and Maintain their Softness:

Use warm water.

Towels can be washed in a variety of ways with warm water. It gets rid of oil deposits on the towel that won’t come off with cold water. It is much better at absorbing the detergent than cold water, so there is no residue on the towels. Additionally, it aids in the removal of all dirt and dust embedded in the fabric’s fibers by assisting in their loosening.

Place the towels in warm water before soak:

It makes more sense to presoak the towels in warm water for 15 to 20 minutes before washing them because warm water naturally cleans them. This amount of time spent soaking gives the towel enough time to get rid of dirt, dust, and oil.

Divide heavy loads into smaller ones:

Towels in a larger load require more detergent, less water, and less room for free movement during the wash cycle. Divide the load into two smaller ones, using less detergent, more water, and more space for washing, as opposed to starting with a single large load.

Choose the right detergent:

There is a widespread misconception that using more detergent results in better cleaning when washing clothes. When it comes to washing towels, choose the right detergent. Ponvandu Matic Liquid detergent is one of the best. The active ingredients in ponvandu matic liquid remove stains, dirt easily in one wash and retains the softness in your towel. Using more detergent than the recommended amount leaves detergent residue behind. Reduce the amount of detergent used to wash towels so that there is no residue left behind.

Reduce your use of fabric softeners

When washing towels, one of the first things that come to mind is fabric softener because it makes them soft. However, it’s important to know that too much fabric softener leaves more residue on the towels. To remove all residue from the towels during the water cycle, reduce the number of fabric softeners used.

Alternate between air drying and tumble drying:

Tumble drying gives towels the fluffy texture they deserve, but the towel fibers are damaged by the heat from the dryer. Alternating between air drying and tumble drying is the most effective method for utilizing a tumble dryer without compromising the fiber’s integrity. To finish drying, place the towels in a tumble dryer with a shorter drying time and partially air dry them on a line. The towels’ natural fluffiness and heat exposure will be reduced as a result.

Give them one last shake to wake up:

Regardless of whether your towels were tumble-dried, air-dried, or both, shake them vigorously after they have dried. Although it may sound trivial, it is extremely effective in making the towels extremely soft and fluffy. The towel’s fibers are loosened by the final shake, restoring their original fluffiness and softness.

A Quick Guide to washing towels and maintaining their softness after washing towels:

  • Use warm water.
  • For 15 to 20 minutes, soak the towels in warm water.
  • Choose smaller loads over a single large one.
  • To prevent residue buildup, use less detergent.
  • To prevent clamping, throw in some tennis balls or dryer balls.
  • For a wash that leaves no residue, use fewer fabric softeners.
  • Towels should be tossed in the tumble dryer for final drying after being partially air-dried.
  • To achieve a super-fluffy texture, vigorously shake the towels.
  • No matter how many times you wash your towels, they will always be clean, fresh, and plush thanks to these easy-to-follow instructions. They will remain as soft as new wash after wash, provide total absorption, and last longer.

Here we are going to discuss the difference between top-load and front-load Washing Machines?

Nowadays we have a wide range of ideal washing machines for your family by learning which washing machine removes dirt the best, is less expensive, saves water, and has less time taking for clothes washing.

Even though washing clothes is probably not the highlight of your week, having a dependable and effective washing machine makes it much easier. You will need to choose between two basic types when purchasing a new washing machine or replacing an old washing machine that uses too much energy.

Top-load Washing Machine vs Front-loading Washing Machine.

Both washing machines remove excess moisture from dirty linens, clothes, and other washables by swishing them through soapy water first, then rinsing off the soap. Using Ponvandu Matic Liquid detergent helps to remove stains easily in the first wash. However, there are differences between the two types of washing machines, the most fundamental of which is whether the door is in front or on top.

Top load washing machine agitator vs non agitator machines.

Another significant distinction is the presence or lack of an agitator present in the center of a standard top drum. However, the agitator can be rough on clothing, resulting in wear, tear, and fading. The pounding action of the wash against the agitator helps release dirt and oils so that ponvandu matic liquid detergent can easily remove them. Instead of using agitators, front-loading washers tumble the laundry inside the rotating drum to help break up dirt and grime. The agitator has been replaced in more recent high-efficiency (HE) top-loaders with an impeller plate, and a low-profile revolving hub with vanes, which adds additional motion to the load without the fabric-pummeling effect of an agitator. The impeller plate is located at the bottom of the drum.

difference between top-load and front load washing machine.

The majority of Indians still prefer top-loaders over agitators, despite the fact that the majority of Top brand washer manufacturers offer both front-load and top-load models. Top loaders made up 76% of all washing machines sold in 2015, with 52% of those machines being HE models, according to a survey conducted by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers. However, the front-loader market continues to expand. Continue reading for head-to-head comparisons of top-load vs. front-load washers so that you can fully comprehend the benefits and drawbacks of each and ultimately decide which option is best for your home.

Performance is improved by front-loaders

In almost every consumer-group study, front-loaders perform better than top-loaders when it comes to fresh, clean laundry. The tumbling-through-air-and-water motion of a front-loader allows the water and detergent to effectively penetrate the fabric, removing stains, odors, oils, and other grime more effectively than the back-and-forth agitation of a top-loader, provided that you do not overstuff the unit. Additionally, front-loaders are gentler on your washables.

Larger loads are handled by front-loaders

Full-size front-loaders typically have larger capacities than full-size top-loaders, despite the fact that washing machines of both types are available in a variety of capacities, including compact models designed for small living spaces. The drum capacity of the typical front loader ranges from four to five cubic feet, while the capacity of the typical top-load machine with an agitator ranges from three to four cubic feet. The majority of HE top-loaders fall somewhere in the middle. To put that into perspective, to wash a queen-size comforter, you need about four cubic feet. But before you buy the biggest machine, make sure it will fit in your laundry room. The bigger the capacity, the bigger the machine will be.

Ergonomically, Top-Loaders are Better

A Top loader is generally more comfortable to use because you can stand straight up in front of it, whereas a Front loader requires you to bend to reach inside. If you want a front-load washer but are worried about hurting your back, a pedestal can give you more comfort. These raisers for the washer and dryer that go under them raise them by 12 to 16 inches. For an additional few hundred dollars, this option is offered by every front-load machine manufacturer, and most pedestals include a handy drawer for laundry supplies. You will need to purchase pedestals that are sized to fit your washer and dryer models; this is a common add-on when purchasing these appliances for the laundry room.

Overall, Top-loaders save money.

Even though front-loaders and HE top-loaders use less energy to run, they cost less to run. However, you’ll pay a lot more upfront for either of these machines than you would for a traditional top-loader, often by several thousand rupees. Additionally, there is a greater risk of malfunction when a model features a greater number of high-tech electronic components.

A front loader typically comes with higher upkeep costs as well. The development of mold and black slime around the door’s rubber gasket is a common problem with these machines. This can be avoided by cleaning the gasket on a regular basis and leaving the door open after each use to allow the machine to dry out between uses.

However, in the event that an issue creates you might have to supplant the gasket. Because the suspension that is supporting the drum of the front loader is more likely to fail as a result of the strain, overloading the front loader is also more likely to result in a visit from the repairman than overloading the top loader.

In terms of lifespan, a top loader is most likely to last ten years or more, while a front loader is less likely to last that long, given equal use and upkeep. It’s a draw when it comes to noise and vibration.

Here is the best detergent liquid to get the best results for washing your stained clothes for both top load and front load washing machine was likely the Ponvandu matic liquid detergent.

Top loaders can be noisy, but they rarely vibrate much during any cycle unless the load becomes unbalanced. On the other hand, front-load machines only make a whirring sound but can transmit powerful vibrations to non-concrete floors, like vinyl or wood, because their drums spin so quickly.

Even though more recent front loaders are less likely to vibrate, you should still take this into account if your laundry room is upstairs or has wood floors.

A top loader will cut down on time significantly

Don’t buy a front loader if you need to finish your laundry quickly because it can take twice as long to complete a wash cycle. This is due to the fact that top-loaders only fill with water once during a cycle, whereas front-loaders have a more complex wash cycle that involves water entering the drum and draining several times.

There are now time-saving settings available for some front-loaders, but because less water is exposed, your clothes may not come out as clean when you use them quickly.

Less water is used by front-loaders

Reduced water consumption is one of the front-load washers’ greatest advantages. It is a significant distinction: To wash and rinse laundry, a typical top-loader requires 30 to 40 gallons of water, whereas a typical front-loader only requires 10 to 15 gallons for the same tasks. The HE top-loaders fall somewhere in between; Each load typically calls for 15 to 20 gallons of water. Not only will using less water result in a lower water bill, but it will also require less energy to heat the water during a warm or hot water wash cycle.

Laundry Rooms Front-loaders utilize space effectively. Stacking a set of front-load washer and dryer appliances is possible with a stacking bracket. This indicates that full-size machines can still be used in confined spaces. Don’t forget to include a comfortable swing room when measuring your available space because you’ll need room to open the doors.

Although “laundry towers” that come pre-stacked and have a top-load washer on the bottom are available, these units are small and are typically used in apartments or other living spaces with limited space.

How frequently should this workhouse’s laundry room be cleaned? Your washing machine should be cleaned about once a month.

The best way to clean your washing machine

Cleaning your washing machine

How to clean your washing machine? Cleaning your washing machine should be seen more as a preventative measure than something you do to fix a problem once it occurs.” It’s time to clean your washing machine if you start to notice that your clothes don’t smell as clean as they should.

You might also observe the accumulation of various types of debris, such as tiny mud or sand, pet fur, and leaves. Around the seals, that indicates that you might not have run a complete cleaning cycle in a while. In addition to debris, the minerals in your water and detergent residue from your detergent and bath products can accumulate and provide room for the growth of bacteria over time.

Not only could this residue eventually clog up your machine’s internal mechanisms, but it could also affect how it works. This could indicate a change in the water’s temperature or a transfer of odors between clothing.

In the following section, we’ll show you how to clean your washing machine with chemical and natural methods (including using vinegar!).

How to Get Started Cleaning Your Washing Machine to get started, use an all-purpose cleaner to clean the machine’s interior and the seals around the door. Hartford explains that any filters or drains around the seal should be cleared of debris for top-loading machines. If you have a front-loading washer, locate the drain filter and shake it over the trash. It should be behind a small front-facing door near the bottom. Before replacing it, thoroughly rinse it.

When you take the cap off the drain tube, make sure you have a big bowl on hand so you can catch any extra water that falls out.

How to Clean Your Washing Machine with Vinegar

Hartford suggests using a washing machine cleaner, if you’re experiencing unpleasant odors in your machine or when you wash your clothes. simply adhere to the package’s directions.

However, if you don’t want to use a chemical formula, there is another way to clean and eliminate odors from your washing machine, and you probably already have the solution under your kitchen sink: acetic acid. “Especially when combined with baking soda, the acidity kills bacteria, cuts through grime and buildup, and eliminates odors,”

How to Clean Your Washing Machine with Vinegar?

Before undertaking this DIY, We recommend checking the owner’s manual for your washer. Put two cups of vinegar into your detergent dispenser and run your washer on the hot cycle if all is well. At the point when it is finished, add a half-cup of baking soda to the drum and run another hot cycle.

After this cycle, wipe down the drum with a microfiber towel before sealing the door by spraying the interior with more vinegar (add some to a clean spray bottle to make the process easier). “The vinegar and hot water together are enough to wash away a small amount of soap residue buildup.

The problem is this: Because they use more water per wash, you’ll need to add more vinegar to the cycle if you’re using a non-high-efficiency (HE) machine.

The fragrance of the Detergent:

Detergents come in a variety of scents, so unless you have sensitive skin, choose one you like. Fragrances are common skin allergens, so if you have sensitive skin, you should stay away from laundry detergents that contain fragrance. Fragrance-laden fabric softeners and dryer sheets should also be avoided. Rinse your clothes twice and avoid overfilling the washer to get rid of any detergent residue.

High-Productivity Cleanser for High-Effectiveness Washers

It ought to be obvious, yet on the off chance that you have a high-proficiency washer, you ought to utilize a high-effectiveness (HE) cleanser. HE choices produce fewer bubbles and make it simpler for HE machines to flush out the cleanser. Any washer can be washed with HE detergent, but an HE washer cannot be washed with standard detergent.

You Only Need a Little Too Much Many people to use too much laundry detergent, but a little goes a long way. Assuming you pack your washer full you risk catching cleanser on your apparel. A little helps a lot.

In the end, you won’t have to make as many decisions as you might think by looking at the store shelves. Buy a sensitive skin detergent if you need one. Look for a winning one on that front if you need the power to lift stains. Whatever you choose, don’t use it too much, and your laundry will smell great.

Always remember to check your machine’s manual to see what is recommended, as a simple rule of thumb.

In this article, we will discuss the benefits of PONVANDU MATIC LIQUID DETERGENT for front-loading washing machines. We will also outline the factors you should consider in Best Liquid Detergent when choosing your front-load washing machine liquid detergent.

Advantages of Liquid Detergent for Front Load Washing machine

• Front loaders are energy efficient. They consume less water and energy than traditional top-loading machines because they have fewer moving parts.
• Front-loading machines are gentler on your clothes because they run at lower temperatures.
• The tumbling motion also minimizes wear and tear on the fabric. – Front-loaders are more compact and easier to clean. These machines have doors that open outward instead of up, so there are fewer nooks and crannies where dirt can accumulate.
• Front-loaders are generally less expensive than top-loading machines. The machine’s door seal is more efficient at keeping water inside the drum. This helps reduce drying time, which saves you money in the long run.

How much dose need for washing: Because each load is different, it’s critical to understand how to dose liquid detergent appropriately. Depending on the size of the load, the amount of grime and scum, the type of washing machine, and the hardness of the water, you’ll need to apply a different amount of liquid detergent to your washing machine

Liquid Detergent Dosage

Your laundry detergent cap can be used as a dosing tool. Just do it in accordance with the directions on the pack. Pour on the tough stain first if your item is heavily soiled; otherwise, just empty the laundry detergent into the washer’s detergent drawer. Make sure you use the appropriate dosage for your fully automatic washer, generally:  60 of liquid is needed for a front-loading, fully automatic washer.

Laundry can be expensive at the time. Although it has become much more effortless, the costs sure do add up!

But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. In this blog, we have mentioned the top 5 simple, yet highly effective tips that would help you cut down your costs. Read on.

5 simple yet effective ways to save money on your laundry

  1. Wash less often

The best way to save money on laundry is to not wash your clothes unnecessarily. This helps cut down your costs on every aspect- energy, water, electricity, and products. Washing fewer loads also prevents wear and tear of your clothes, fading and helps extend their longevity.

The best way to wash fewer loads is by saving your laundry for a week and washing them in one go. Apart from this, you can also wear your clothes more than once before tossing them into the machine. Clothes like shirts, socks, and underwear require frequent washes. But when it comes to clothes like jackets, jeans, and dresses- you can extend your wears in case they aren’t stained or smelly. Washing your clothes less often helps them last longer. This means you would spend less on buying newer clothes.

  1. Use cold water

Did you know? Almost 80% of the energy from a washer goes into heating the water. Switching to cold water can help cut a significant amount of costs spent on energy bills. You don’t have to worry about your clothes not being clean enough. Studies have shown that cold does an adequate job in getting your clothes clean and fresh.

Stick to hot water only when washing oily stains, germ-laden clothes, and baby clothes. This can help save energy, cut costs which is both good for the environment and your pocket.

  1. Use fewer laundry products

You don’t need to own every fancy laundry product there is. Sometimes owning lesser yet effective products is a good idea. You can make use of household items to treat your stains instead of buying specialized stain removers. Stick to basic and all-purpose detergents for your clothes. This can help you save a ton of money by the end of the year.

  1. Skip the dryer

In times when you are not in a hurry to get your clothes dried, you can skip the dryer and let the sun do the work for you. Hang your clothes under the sun whenever you can. This helps cut down a significant amount of energy spent on drying clothes. Apart from this, sunlight helps remove unpleasant odors, and bacteria and keeps your clothes fresh longer.

  1. Use less detergent

The less is better when it comes to detergents. Often people make the mistake of assuming that more detergent helps in better cleaning of clothes. But it’s quite the opposite. Excess detergent often doesn’t get washed and remains on your clothes as residue. This not only causes fading of your fabric’s color but also irritates the skin.

You don’t have to choose the most expensive detergent in the market. Choose an all-purpose detergent unless you have a baby or you’re allergic. Most on-shelves detergent does a good job of getting your clothes clean.

We hope these tips helped!

Let us know what is your go-to trick that helps save money on your laundry. We would love to know!

While washing your clothes when needed is important; washing your clothes the right way is more important. If not, you are prone to losing your favorite garments much sooner to fading, loss of quality, or even wear and tear.

Doing your laundry the right way is as important as doing the laundry itself. Here’s how you know if you’re doing your laundry right.

5 ways to tell you are not doing your laundry right!

  1. Unpleasant odors

When you don’t wash your clothes properly, or don’t let them dry adequately, they often build up unpleasant odors. Waiting to take your clothes from the dryer can cause your clothes to smell musty.

Your sweaty clothes often need to be washed thoroughly to get rid of the sweat smell. When this isn’t done, your clothes would still stink off your sweat odors. The best way to combat this issue is to dry your clothes as soon as they are washed. To get rid of any unpleasant odors, just rinse your clothes with either baking soda or vinegar. This helps your clothes smell fresh.

  1.     Residue remaining

Sometimes people make the mistake of assuming that more detergent equals better cleaning. This often leads to the accumulation of detergent that is not rinsed off properly. This residue can cause fading, discoloration, stiffness, and even cause rashes on the skin.

To solve this problem, wash your clothes with only the recommended dosage of detergent. And make sure to rinse your clothes thoroughly to not leave any detergent residue behind. In case you spot any residue on your clothes, put them to rinse again.

  1.     Irritation and rashes on the skin

When clothes aren’t washed properly, they often can cause a lot of skin problems. Just as mentioned in our previous point, detergent residues often cause irritation and rashes on the skin. Underwashing your clothes too can cause the same.

The leftover dirt, bacteria, and odors can cause the same irritation and rashes on the skin. This is why remember to use the right amount of detergent when doing your laundry. Use an antibacterial detergent if your clothes are often sweaty.

  1.     Deteriorating quality of clothes

Laundry when done right can help retain the texture, and quality of your clothes thus extending its longevity. This would save you on purchasing newer clothes often. But have you noticed that your clothes are losing their spark after every wash?

This means you’re not doing your laundry right. You are either washing too often, using harsh detergents, or not using a gentle cycle. Stick to washing your clothes after a few wears, and don’t scrub the fabric too hard while treating stains. Apart from this, choose a mild detergent that helps preserve colors and isn’t too harsh on your fabrics.

  1.     Stains remain permanent

Stains are hard to remove. They must be treated immediately and correctly or else you risk losing your favorite fabric over a tea spill. This is why, when you spot a stain, pre-treat it as soon as possible. Just add liquid detergent over the stain and gently scrub away the spotted area. Wash the fabric as usual.

There are several ways to treat different kinds of stains. Baking soda, vinegar, salt, etc are some of the natural ways to help get rid of tough stains. We shall cover how to treat different stains the right way, in our upcoming blogs.

Denim is one of the most common and often worn garments in everyone’s wardrobe. It is a durable fabric that can last for years. But it still needs your special care to help retain its quality, color, and size for a prolonged period.

We have compiled some simple tips to help you wash, dry, and care for your denim.

5 simple tips to help wash your denim right

  1. Wash less often

Your denim doesn’t require frequent washes. On the contrary, the less frequently you wash them, the better. On average you can get 4-6 wears out of your regular jeans. Stick to washing your denim after every 5 washes, unless they are stained or smelly.

In case of the stained area being small, treat it immediately and let it dry instead of tossing the whole garment to wash. Denim is a durable fabric but washing them often can render them out of shape, faded and even cause wear and tear

  1. Use cold water

Use cold water when washing your denim. This is to avoid shrinking the garment. Apart from this, cold water helps cut down costs on energy bills. Denim is a tough fabric but this doesn’t mean you should choose heavy-duty. Wash your denim in a gentle cycle or delicate cycle.

  1. Sort your denim

Denim comes in various sizes and colors. Sort your denim out before tossing them into the load. Separate lights and dark denim. This would lead to fading of dark jeans, and the coloration of lights. While washing make sure to turn your jeans inside out. This helps protect the fabric from wear and tear and fading.

Jeans don’t really dye. However, it is always advised to read the care label to decide whether or not they should be washed with regular clothes.

  1. Hand wash if possible

Hand Wash works great on denim. It helps save water and energy. However, keep in mind to avoid bleach and be gentle with the garment. Use less amount of detergent to preserve colors.

Don’t wringle them too hard while rinsing as this can cause the fibers to break. Instead, rinse it three times to make sure all the detergent is removed, and then proceed to fold and roll to remove excess water. Once done, hang them up to dry.

  1. Dry it properly

Once the denim is washed, hang them up to dry. Flatten the garment and remove any creases and lay them out. Opt to hang them in shade. This can save energy, cost on bills and even extend the longevity of the jeans.

Don’t leave them exposed to heat for long periods as this can cause them to fade and shrink. When naturally dried, the denim can appear to be stiff but after a while, it will return to its normal softness. You can also try softening the denim by ironing them.

Caring for your denim may seem like a lot. But with these tips, we try to make it simpler and effective for you. We hope these tips helped.

Top 5 Laundry Mistakes You’re Probably Making

Washing laundry is a task many of us dread. But in the process of getting this chore complete, we inevitably make some poor decisions that harm our clothes.

You’d be surprised to know the many mistakes we make with our weekly laundry. Also, did you know that you aren’t supposed to wash your entire pile in a single day?

Now, that we know the first mistake we make, it’s time to get started with a couple more that you didn’t know you were doing!

1. Using hot water every time

Not all garments require hot water as they can shrink, fade and damage certain clothes. Use hot water only for certain clothes like cloth diapers, towels, and napkins. Make sure you read the instructions for your clothes before tossing them in hot water. Apart from this, cutting down on hot water consumption for your laundry needs to only when necessary, can save a huge amount of energy and money.

2. Not sorting your laundry

Sometimes different fabrics have different washing needs. This is why it is important to check the washing instructions of your garments and sort them accordingly. You can start by sorting out dark, light, medium-colored clothes, and then your delicate fabrics like silk, linen, etc. This will avoid any type of damage, fading, color transfer, and shrinkage.

3. Putting your clothes incorrectly

Dumping clothes into your washing machine isn’t the right way to get them cleaned. Apart from sorting your clothes, it is also important how you put them in. There are some things to be noted.

a)      Never put detergent directly on the clothes

b)      Unbutton your shirts to prevent them from ripping

c)      Never leave your zippers open to avoid scratching the machine

d)      Wash your bras clipped or added to a pillowcase

e)      Be cautious of dry clean labeled fabrics

4. Leaving the clothes in the machine

This is a mistake people often make. It defeats the entire purpose of cleaning clothes. Not to mention, it is also unhealthy. Remove clothes from the machine and dry them out after every wash. If not, your clothes are sure to smell funny!

5. Using too much detergent or not the right detergent

When it comes to detergent, you need to be careful about both the choice and the dosage. Remember: more detergent does not equal cleaner clothes. Using too much detergent can be detrimental to your delicate fabrics. This can trap dirt and harsh chemicals that can irritate your skin. This is why it is crucial to only use the recommended amount of detergent for your laundry.

Apart from this, using quality detergents can help maintain your garment’s color and material quality. A quality detergent is free from harmful chemicals that damage fabrics or irritate the skin. Just like Ponvandu.

Top 5 Effective Tips to Get Your Laundry Right!

You wash your clothes almost every day. But are you doing it right?

Washing clothes, sometimes requires extra effort to get it right every time. Some clothes like silk, wool, and linen are delicate and need special care. While your washing machine does the dirty work for you, it is also important to pay attention to how your clothes need to be washed.

To get the best out of your laundry products, we have combined some of the best and a handful of tips to help you get it right. Read on!

1. Temperature is important

The temperature of the water is crucial when it comes to washing different clothes. When washing clothes that are dark in color and tend to bleed, use cold water. Apart from being good for the environment, coldwater will also help you save money on your energy bills.

Only use hot water when washing whites, towels, and cloth diapers. This helps get rid of any dirt and bacteria in them. Warm water is suggested when washing your fibers and jeans.

Bonus tip: to help extend the life of your jeans, wash them less frequently and try freezing them. This will help kill the bacteria and remove odor.

2. Salt for Bright Clothes

Want to keep your clothes from fading? Then wash them with salt.

All you have to do is toss in your bright and dark-colored clothes with a teaspoon of salt. This will help retain the color of your clothing. Apart from this, washing your colored clothes inside out can furthermore help to retain their color.

3. Dry Clothes Quicker

Don’t have much time for your clothes to dry? Then this tip is for you!

Next time you want to save your dryer time, just throw in a dry towel. This will help absorb the moisture from the clothes and help your load dry quickly.

4. Clean your Washing Machine

Your washing machine needs cleaning. Although not regularly, every couple of months will do. The best way to clean your machine is to set it to the largest load, add hot water with white vinegar and a cup of baking soda. Give it a spin for a minute and pause. Let the solution sit in the machine.

It is also important to clean the lids, corners to remove any build-ups. After an hour of rest, complete the cycle and drain. Do this cycle again with only the hot water to help remove any residue.

When it comes to laundry, there are several kinds of garments that have their specific washing needs. Although all kinds of detergents help in cleaning clothes, one must pay extra attention to stretch the longevity as well maintain the quality of fabrics. If not, you might be at risk of ruining them or obtaining laundry results you would not find satisfactory.

In this article, we shall discuss the need for liquid detergent and how one can use it to obtain cleaner and fresher clothes. To begin with, detergent nowadays comes in many forms. Looking back, laundry care has come a long way. From bars of soaps to liquid detergents, fabric softeners, safe bleaches, and more. Laundry has become much easier with different product options to choose from.

1. Gentle on colors

Photo 2

While powder detergent is preferred by many, it can still contain bleaching agents that fade the color. Liquid detergents however are gentle on colors. Apart from retaining colors, liquid detergent is also effective on stubborn and greasy stains.

2. Works well with washing machine

When it comes to machine needs, liquid detergent is still ideal. Powder detergent can compromise the color of your delicate fabrics but with the liquid detergent, you would not have to choose between removing stains and retaining color.

3. Easy and convenient

Liquid detergents are fairly easy to use. They come in well-packaged bottles that are easy to store and carry. Apart from this, they are easy to measure and pour too. Liquid detergents unlike powder detergents do not leave unwanted white residue as they dissolve very quickly. This also makes it easier to scrub and remove stains from clothes.

4. Perfect for delicate fabrics

Like said before, liquid detergents are gentler. They dissolve quickly into the water and softly wash away stains and dirt making them perfect for your expensive garments. Fabrics made from wool, silk, linen, etc, require good and gentle detergents for washing purposes. Liquid detergents can be a mild alternative that retains the quality of the fabrics even after several washes.

5. Bonus advantage!

Liquid detergent saves water. It takes a lesser dose of liquid detergent and even lesser water for it dissolves (because it’s already in a liquid state) unlike powder detergent, leaving no residue. They are also ideal for front load and top load machines. But make sure to choose the right one based on your machine.

Liquid detergent can help to make laundry day easier and more efficient. Although liquid soaps come with their set of advantages it doesn’t mean you discard powder detergent altogether. Powder detergents are still a great choice for fully automatic washing machines. They work extremely well on mud stains and stubborn greasy spots. You might have to sort your lighter clothes accordingly before tossing them into the machine.

Powder and liquid detergents come in handy based on the type of clothes, stains, and load you’re washing. This is why it is important to know your detergent before choosing them.

At Ponvandu, we understand detergents can come in various shapes and forms but with one common goal: cleaner clothes that do not compromise the quality of the fabric.

This is why, we have formulated liquid and powder detergents that suit your machine, clothes, and your stain removal requirements. No matter what your laundry needs are, Ponvandu Active Detergents is here for you!

Laundry doesn’t have to be overwhelming if done the right way. What is the right way, you ask?

Then, this blog is for you!

1. Read the labels

Checking the content. A woman reading a label on hairspray bottle

You must pay close to the labels and instructions on how to wash them. If the label mentions that the particular fabric needs to be “washed separately” or “dry wash”, please follow it, so you don’t risk damaging the fabric.

The care labels also mentioned if the particular garment can be machine washed or not. This is because every fabric has its own properties and must be washed accordingly to enhance its durability. Do not try to rush the process to save time and effort. This is only going to cost your fabric’s quality.

2. Sort it out

Before hastily tossing your laundry into the loader, make sure to sort it out correctly. This means you will have to separate your clothes based on their colors- the lights and the darks. This will prevent the garments from fading and ruining other clothes in the load too. Soiled garments must be washed separately too.

After sorting out this way, separate your clothes based on the type of fabric they are. For example, in the dark-colored clothes pile: separate the heavier clothing like jeans, pants, and jackets from the lighter ones like t-shirts and blouses. This helps you choose the cycle that fits right for each kind of clothing. Thus, make it easier and simpler for you.

3.Choose your detergent

Pick a detergent that suits your machine and the type of your clothes best. If you don’t want to use multiple detergents for your laundry, you can also select an all-purpose detergent. Make sure to read the instructions carefully before. Use the recommended dose only. Remember more detergent doesn’t mean cleaner clothes.

The detergent residue on your clothes can in turn cause irritation to your skin and also damage the quality of your clothes. In case of any stains on your fabrics, make sure to pre-treat them before adding them to the load. Another important thing to remember is to never add the detergent directly to the clothes. Detergents must be added to the dispenser to ensure equal distribution of the solution.

Ponvandu Detergent is an all-purpose detergent that helps gently clean your clothes and keep them smelling fresh and looking bright. Get yours today!

4. Water temperature and cycle

You don’t have to wash every load with hot water unless your clothes are heavily soiled or have to be sanitized with hot water to kill germs. The latter is especially applicable when it comes to baby laundry. Other than this, using cold water for your regular clothes works just fine.

Apart from this, choosing the right cycle is important. Select a normal cycle for your regular clothes, while “Delicate” must be used for certain fabrics. For heavier clothing like jeans, jackets, and towels, you can use “Heavy-Duty”

5. Load the washer

Once you have selected the right temperature and cycle, it’s time to load!

But before you do, make sure to do a final check for any untreated stains, wrong clothing (light-colored cloth in the dark-colored load) before loading. Also ensure to check the pockets of the garments for any papers, coins, tissue, etc. Make sure not to leave any zippers or buttons open to avoid damage to both the machine as well as the clothing.

After your final check, you can load the machine. Do not roll your clothes into a wad or cram up the washer with clothes. This prevents the load from moving freely in the water.

6. Dryer time

Once the cycle is complete, make sure to remove your clothes from the washer immediately to dry. This prevents bacterial growth, mildew and prevents bad odors. Either hang them under sunlight or load them into the dryer.

Choose the right dryer temperature based on your clean load to help reduce wrinkles and shrinkage.

7. Storing laundry

Your clean clothes still need care. You must store the completely dry laundry correctly. Fold each piece of clothing and place them in your closet with some spaces. You can place naphthalene balls to prevent pests and keep your clothes smelling fresh for longer periods.

We hope these tips help! Let us know what are the best tips for laundry that you use.

Winter clothes often need special care and maintenance to help prevent them from wearing out and increasing their longevity.

In this blog, we have gathered few laundry tips that are sure to make caring for your winter easier and simpler.

1.Re-wear your winter clothes

During the winter season, you are less likely to sweat. Therefore, it isn’t always necessary to wash your sweaters and coats frequently. Unless it is smelly or has stains, you can settle for washing your winter after few wears. If you want fresher clothes between each wear, you can add them on the low in your dryer with a dryer sheet for 5 mins for cleaner and fresher clothes.

2.Treat stains right away!

Whether regular clothes or your winter sweaters, putting off stains to treat them later is always a bad idea. Once the stains have been set; it becomes difficult to get rid of them. Hence, make sure to always treat unsightly stains at the earliest. You can use a stain remover or pre-soak the stains to help get rid of them effectively.

3.Retain the shape of your sweaters

Multiple washes of your sweaters often leave them stretched out. The best way to help retain the shape of your sweaters is by outlining their shape on a big sheet of paper before wash. After the wash, dry your sweater by wrapping them in a towel to help soak up excess water. After this step, lay the sweater on the same paper and reshape it to fill the marked outline. Let it dry flat.

4.Use a laundry bag

When it comes to your hats, beanies, gloves, and mittens- you can settle to wash these once a month. Unless they are stained or smelly. The best way to retain their quality is by putting them in a netted laundry bag. This prevents any wear and tear to the cloth and keeps it from getting separated in the laundry.

5.Follow the instructions

Before washing your winter clothes, make sure to read the washing instructions from the label. If the garment needs to be dry cleaned, don’t try to machine or hand-wash them. If the fabric is delicate, ensure to use gentle detergents and gentle cycle on your machine.

6.Storing your winter clothes

Washing winter wears carefully helps them get clean but storing them properly helps prolong their life. Seal your winter clothes when not in use and keep them in your wardrobe. Don’t hang your sweaters instead fold them. Wools stretch and lose their shape when you hang them. Don’t stuff all your winter wear together. Leave them spaces to breathe and stay warm.

6 tips to help eliminate odours in clothes

1. Clean your machine

Apart from washing your clothes regularly, it is important to give your machine a good clean-up every now and then. This will help get rid of any built-up residue in the washer that may be causing the foul smell. This would also help get rid of bacteria in the washer and therefore keep your clothes clean.

2. Dry your clothes

Often, we forget clothes in the washer. But this isn’t a healthy laundry habit. Your clothes are damp and are prone to grow mold and even bacteria. This can give out foul-smell that defeat the purpose of the entire laundry cycle. Remember to always dry out clothes, preferably under sunlight to ensure the bacteria is killed and your clothes are completely clean.

3.Use hot water

Hot water is a great way to get rid of bacteria and disinfect clothes. Toss your clothes in hot water at the end of the cycle and give them a rinse. It helps kill the odor-causing bacteria effectively.

4. Baking soda or Vinegar

Using baking soda or vinegar can effectively help in fighting odors and mildew. Add in a half-cup of baking or vinegar to your load and let it do its magic. Make sure not to add too much. These ingredients help in cutting down the odor and avoid any bacteria build-up.

5.Store your laundry right

Apart from washing and drying your clothes correctly, it is also important how you store them. Often, clothes kept in inside too long develop unpleasant odors. Fortunately, there are ways you can prevent this. Here are some tips:

  • Give your clothes room to breathe
  • Make sure they are completely dry
  • Place naphthalene balls
  • Make sure there are no foul-smelling agents

Another way to ensure that your clothes smell fresh and are free from bacteria is to soak a cotton ball in few drops of tea tree or lavender essential oil and place them in between your clothes. This can help get rid of bacteria and give your clothes a pleasant smell (Do not use essential oils in case you are allergic or have pets).

6.Consider changing your detergent

Your detergent can also determine the fragrance of your clothes. Often detergents have added fragrances that help eliminate odors and keep clothes smelling fresh. But make sure, these fragrances do not irritate your skin. A quality detergent helps kill bacteria and leaves clothes clean and smelling good.

Fret not. We have all been there. After all, we’re humans trying to manage through life. This simple trick can help you. Just toss in a towel in the dryer to help absorb moisture from your clothes, allowing them to dry quicker.

4. Keep a schedule

Mistakes happen. But don’t make it a habit. You cannot always depend on a dry towel for the rescue. This is why you need to come up with a laundry schedule that fits you right. Set a day in every week for your laundry chores. If you have too many clothes piled up, divide your week based on your schedule for your laundry loads.

Don’t pile your clothes up until the last day, and wash them all at once. This puts undue pressure on the machine and doesn’t ensure your clothes are thoroughly clean.

5.Keep your socks safe

One thing that every person running late to their office/school has faced is losing the other sock. You do remember tossing the pair in the machine but can’t find them together anymore. But you can prevent this from happening again with this simple tip.

Just add your socks to a small laundry bag before tossing them for a wash. This way your socks will remain intact for you to easily find them for later.

6.Stay consistent

Laundry doesn’t have to be hard work. But juggling multiple things at once can be burdensome. This is why it is important to keep a schedule and stick to it. Remaining consistent with your schedule is the key to prevent those piles of unwashed clothes in your basket.

It can be tough in the beginning but with the right schedule, laundry can be a cake-walk.

We hope these tips helped.

5 tips for doing your baby’s laundry

1.Baby- only loads: Yes or no?

It is common to think that washing your baby’s laundry separately can be safe and effective. But this isn’t entirely true. Separate baby-loads just adds to your work and might not be an efficient way to wash your clothes.

It is suggested to combine your baby clothes with your everyday laundry. It can be easier to change your existing detergent to that of a baby-safe detergent. This is because your baby is sure to come in contact with your clothes too. So, the best way to keep your baby’s skin safe from irritants is opting for a mild detergent for all your laundry.

However, this tip is recommended under certain conditions. Some are as follows:

  • You prefer scented detergents that can irritate the baby’s skin
  • Your baby has sensitive skin or is allergic to existing detergent
  • Someone in the family works with harmful substances/chemicals
  • Stained baby’s clothes that need to be separately washed

2. Removing stains

Color clothes soak in powder detergent water dissolution. Laundry concept

When there is a baby, there will be stains. Whether it is the stains from their smelly poop, baby oil, spit-ups, or more- there is always a simpler way to get rid of them. Here is how:

  • Poop: Soak in lukewarm water and treat it with lemon juice before washing
  • Medications: Soak in luke water and treat it with white vinegar before washing
  • Spit-ups- Treat the stain with lemon juice before washing
  • Stubborn stains- Sprinkle baking soda. Later pour some club soda and then scrub to remove stains
  • Oil stains – pre-treat the area with a dish-wash soap and scrub the area before washing

3. Duration of the machine

Some important tips must be noted before throwing your baby’s clothes in the machine. Here are some:

Wash your baby’s clothes in small loads. This can help in thorough cleaning without damaging the clothes

Use the gentle cycle to help keep your baby’s clothes looking newer

Rinse twice. This can help get rid of an excess detergent that may irritate the baby’s skin

Washcloth diapers and inners with lukewarm water to help get rid of germs and odors.

Read the instructions before tossing your baby’s clothes in the laundry.

4. Wash before wear

Whether your baby’s clothes are bought brand new or pre-owned, it is necessary to wash them once. This helps get rid of germs or any harmful irritants that may cause your baby to develop a rash.

So, make sure to wash any and every cloth bought before you dress your baby in them.

5.Choosing the right detergent

One of the first things to do before doing your baby’s laundry is to choose the best detergent that is both safe and effective. Detergents often contain harmful chemicals that irritate the baby’s skin. Every parent should do the right amount of research before choosing their baby’s detergent.

Always go for mild, non-scented, and baby-safe detergents for all your clothes. If still hesitant, there are many natural alternatives too. There are many homemade recipes that you can find online. Choose the one that fits safe for your little one!

We hope this helped!
